I can’t believe how quickly we’re racing through this year! It’s going to be time for Christmas again before we know it.
May was one hell of a month for me, mostly dominated by the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, but I did manage to squeeze in a clean up at Torpedo Bay Devonport, launch 3 Fair Trade Taste testings at AUT, 1 brainstorming session for the AuSM Sustainability Club, make homemade mandarin peel tea and banana peel tea, discover that apple cider vinegar does NOT help with pimples but coconut oil (strangely enough) does, and learn that Subway cookies contain palm oil (DOH!) so there’s another good reason not to buy them.
As for Torpedo Bay, well. What a beautiful day, the sun shone for us all day in between two days of rain. We had sausages from New World Browns Bay, and a delicious German cornbread made by one of our crew. I’m not going to lie though, I was surprised at how grubby the beach was, especially under that wharf. Yikes, Devonport, we thought you were posh!
And just as a side note, it’s our official artist, Laura Hodson’s, birthday today!!
